Founded in 1980 as Action Bag Company, the family business started with one simple and effective product: the recloseable zip bag. Since then, not only have product lines expanded to serve all classes of trade, but the company name has also evolved. In 2016, the company launched its rebrand to Action Health, reflecting its dedication to innovation and providing expert solutions in the changing healthcare market.
Today, Action Health has become the industry leader by providing healthcare products of incomparable quality, selection, and price.

Action Bag Company is founded by Marie Gebbie, focusing on the reclosable zip bag and its uses across all industries.                                                                                             Â

Nancy Cwynar becomes CEO. The organization continues to expand its product line.                                                                         Â
2016
Action Bags healthcare division is                          rebranded to Action Health.
2018

Action Bags acquires Co-Ordinated Packaging expanding its stock product offering.
2020
Action Bags acquires Multi-Pak USA enhancing the organization’s custom                      capabilities.
2022
Action Bags acquires Bag Man Xray expanding the product line to include X-ray Cassette Covers.Â
2022
Action Bags acquires GT Bag Company adding polypropylene, lip & tape, and pre-opened zip bags to our stock product line.
2023
Action Bags acquires The J. J. Elemer Corporation and their                             best-in-class line of Midwest Pacific                       heat sealing equipment.
2023
Action Bags acquires Packco Inc. adding cloth drawstring bags, shrink film, shrink bags, and shrink tubing to                     our stock product offering.
2024
Action Bags acquires Curlew Creek Packaging adding FIBCs, bulk bags, and woven polypropylene bags to our stock and custom product offering.
